Jonas Grauer was born on the 4th of March 1989 in Tübingen, Germany. He was taught to play the Piano from an early age on and started to compose his own music when he was about 16 years old.
After finishing school, he decided to study at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Mannheim Germany with the main subject in music theory (Chair held by Prof. Dr. Michael Polth). Next to writing stylistic copies, ranging through several musical ages, he gained knowledge in the field of orchestration (Prof. Tarkmann), contemporary music, improvisation and the understanding of music itself.
Next to his studies, Jonas Grauer played Keyboards in the Band Arkadian Adventure (now Soul Devotion Live).
After graduading from the University of Music, he began his Master Studies at the Popakademie in Mannheim.
He won the Foto-Film-Game-Contest in Munich twice in a row, after participating in 2011 and 2012.
In his career he worked with several directors/producers like Manuel Vogel, Konrad Simon, Ben Hoyer, Rainer Wälde etc. on different kinds of film, ranging from short documentary to full length narrative film.
